Cameron Canyon Fog and Snow

On the morning of March 8, 2010, I looked out my back window and saw lots of clouds toward Tehachapi and decided to try for some fog photos. After dropping Julia off at school I continued North and took Tehachapi-Willow Springs road. My first stop was about a half-mile before the entrance to Cameron Canyon Rd. From there (a short walk up the hillside) I could see many windmills, a herd of horses, and lots of fog. My second stop was at the entrance to Cameron Canyon Rd. where I took some shots of more windmills, none of which made it into this blog. After that I drove into the fog and was rewarded with several interesting shots.

The next morning I saw that the snow level was well below the level of Cameron Canyon so I decided to try for snow photos. The entrance to Cameron Rd. had a sign saying that it was closed but I forged ahead since the road looked clear. In fact, it was clear the whole way through.

Here's a sample of what I saw:

The more I look around me the more I find worth photographing.
