Title: California Ground Squirrel (Cassie's Breakfast)
I had been out one morning at the Prime Desert Woodland Preserve in Lancaster trying to get a photo of the two coyotes that live there, the female being named Cassie. Don, my guide, was telling me that the coyotes had lots of squirrels to eat. We never saw the coyotes but back in the parking lot we saw a couple of squirrels sitting up on posts checking us out. This one was nice and fat looking so I quipped "That must be Cassie's breakfast." "Cassie's Lunch" can just be seen behind "Cassie's Breakfast."
